What if Yamato's mother hid her pregnancy from Kaido, escaped him, and raised Yamato to be a better person than his father, leading to Yamato becoming a Marine?

As for Carrot, since Zunesha's always mobile, what if he traveled past a Marine town and Carrot, the adventurous spirit that she is, sneaked away from Zou, and got stranded there? Probably caused a slight disturbance in town that got her arrested before she could get back on Zunesha.

The Marine officer that learned about her, a Mink being spotted in town, would be Yamato. He would learn about Carrot's fighting prowess and make a deal with her: if she agrees to train via sparring matches with him, then he would help her find her home. Carrot would bond with Yamato on the way there, and ultimately choose to stay with him as his right-hand.
