Inspired by Bleach S Abridged: Ulquiorra Cifer x Roka Paramia (the nurse who patched up Yammy, known as "Dr. Mayweather" in the abridged.) Ship name: Rokiorra!

In this human AU, Roka and Ulquiorra are both doctors forming a budding romance, at their own pace.

Since Roka's face is half a Hollow mask, I've decided that in this AU, she was caught in an explosion that left half her face like this. She wears a mask around her patients to avoid freaking them out, but not around her fellow doctors, who are used to seeing much worse on previous patients. They're more accepting of her face. She got burned when she was younger and was outcasted for it. She wanted surgery to fix it, but was to afraid to once she learned the risks. Her doctor at the time comforted her and reassured her that he was not afraid of her or disgusted. That moment made her want to be a doctor, to make her others feel the same reassurance she felt. Officially, she's Dr. Paramia, but she prefers to be called Dr. Roka because it sounds catchier.

Dr. Cifer is the newest addition to the hospital. He distances himself from others to focus on his work. He's nihilistic because his parents expected (demanded) he become a doctor. He never had a choice, and as a doctor, he's seen too much death to handle. He's all but lost his will to enjoy life. He's still a doctor because his parents never let him learn how to do anything else.
He doesn't care much about life...until Dr. Roka notices and puts herself in his life.

She follows my belief that the meaning of life is to find your own way to enjoy life. So she helps him learn to enjoy, bit by bit. Sharing coffee with him, convincing him to customize his mug and even getting him to wear a hair clip. He even helps her fire and arrest the shitty boss, Dr. Granz, for his illegal practices.
