Les Malheurs de La Vie

This the woman from the Gravity Falls episode "Carpet Diem". She's one of those well-designed throwaway characters used in loads of animated shows. I liked her designed and drew her in this setting: broken down truck in the middle of a desert, waiting for some one to help her, and sweating in the heat with her frizzy. It's perfect for this summer heat and show's bad fortune, which is fitting since today's Friday 13th.

While thinking of a title, I eventually thought of the title "Les Miserable". So I decided to make the title French and give her a French name. The title means "Life's Misfortunes" and I'll name her Adaline Vagabond. Her first name means "noble and kind-hearted" and her last name means "wanderer". I named her this because she's lost and looking around for a location like a wanderer and she was pretty nice in the episode.
